Cadets from 2438 (Bishop Ullathorne) Squadron were back at their marshalling stations on Sun 27 June, to assist members of The Coventry Three Spires Round Table with the Coventry Fun Run.

This annual event saw the Cadets carrying out the duty of course directors ensuring that the runners remained on the right route.

The cadets also provided encouragement and support for the runners, they also cheered on Flight Sergeant Brandon Wood from 2438 Squadron who was running for the Help for Heroes charity and members of 8F Squadron, who were also taking part in the run.

As mentioned in the Coventry Telegraph Flight Sergeant Brandon Wood said, “Help For Heroes is such a worthwhile cause. I’ve done a fair bit of fundraising and this time I wanted to challenge myself. It’s good training for when I go into the Air Force later this year.”

Flight Lieutenant Nathan Adams Officer Commanding 2438 Squadron said; “This was a great opportunity for the cadets to raise the profile of the squadron by supporting The Coventry Three Spires Round Table with this fantastic event. The Cadets pulled out all the stops to ensure that their part in the event was successful. The cadets thoroughly enjoyed the morning and the encouragement they gave the runners was warmly welcomed.”
