Cadets and Staff from 2438 (Bishop Ullathorne) Squadron were flying on Ice at Coventry’s Skydome ice rink to celebrate the end of exams and to start off the Squadrons birthday celebrations.

The cadets took to the ice like naturals and had fun skating around the rink trying to impersonate the professional figure skaters.

The evening was arranged by the Squadrons staff with help from Cadet Sergeant John Ormsby who works at the ice rink. The cadets thoroughly enjoyed the evening and for some of the cadets this was their first cadet social night and for others it was even their first time ice skating.

Civilian Instructor Roni Tillman who attending on the night said “The Ice skating has been a great success with the Cadets. It was a fantastic start to the Squadrons Birthday celebrations and a great end for the exam period. It yet again shows the sort of opportunities available to members of the Air Training Corps”.
